MY STORY
Brought up in an isolated town, I have experienced the struggles of grasping social roles and expectations. I understand the urge to self-destruct and recreate harmful patterns. It is human nature to cling to what is comfortable, not helpful. I spent some time trying to find the "right" thing. After seeking my own treatment and self-discovery, I truly believe that it is within each and every one of us to create long lasting positive change. We are each already whole, but sometimes need some help seeing that. I still practice bringing to light the things that have been kept in the dark. Life is a process; nothing is one way.
Some of the roles that inform my identity are: native West Virginian, a mother, a nature lover, cat mom, reader of self-help books, quilter, and houseplant enthusiast.
My pronouns are she/her. My preferred name is Leah.
